The mini pdb acts a hub for the battery to feed the various parts hungry animals on your craft.  The two nets are effectively bridged by a regulator which provides voltage regulated power to your sensitive electronics and also keeps the noisy Power Net gremlins from getting into the Clean Net.

The advantage of this approach is that your electronics are fed at a constant voltage by the regulator irrespective of the whether you are using a 3S or 4S….just plug in a battery and fly.  The regulator also removes the need for a separate power filter as a good switching regulator already incorporates a LC filter (capacitor and inductor).

The Naze 32 can handle up to 16v. However, the D4R is usually powered off the naze input power rail and it is capped at 10v.

The HS1177 can handle a very wide power input range from 5v-23v.  The 5v performance can sometimes be a bit flakey though.  We suggest something above this. Please also ground the audio output wires if you don’t use them as they will emit noise.

Many VTXs need a minimum of 7v and have max of 16v. Check your specific requirements.  Be sure to keep the video signal wire is well clear of any Power Net cables as the large voltage difference and large power may cause interference.

If yuor esc is an opto (no power regulator), we recommend using the d-sun switching regulator.  This reg is good for up to 1.8amps which is well above the 0.4-0.8 amps that your electronics typical draw. Subject to your specific electronics, we recommend running your d-sun at 8 volts. Set the variable  resistor on the d-sun using a multi-meter prior to installation.  If any of your electronics require a 5V or 12V, you will require a second regulator to create a second Clean Net.  Note that the d-sun noise performance can be materially improved by adding a 220uF (16V or higher) electrolytic capacitor between the output positive and negative.

If your escs already have a power regulator, you can consider using this as an alternative to the dsun.  However, please remember to use only one of the escs for regulated power. You can do this by snipping the red wire from the servo leads on the other three escs.

Australia Post Express is shipped by air, not road.  Whilst it does claim to be a 24 hrs service to some CBD areas, this is not our experience.  We recommend this service and have found it to be very reliable.

Parcel Post (Domestic)

This is a good service however is by road, not air.  Australia is a big country, it takes a up to 10 days to send something from Perth to Brisbane by Road!  For the faster and more reliable service, PLEASE pay $2.50 and use the Express service.

TNT Overnight (Domestic)

This is a very good domestic service that does deliver in 24hrs to most cities in Australia.  If it’s under 1kg, the cost is usually around $15.
